Welcome to Sunday

What problem are we solving?
We're building an AI system that owns front-line communication for service businesses, and we're starting with phone, chat, and SMS.
Sunday answers calls, integrates with your tools, and handles follow-ups.
It's like having your own call center.
With Sunday, business owners don’t have to build, test, or maintain AI themselves. Sunday automatically creates and updates its own knowledge base, learns from every conversation, and runs reliably in the background, so owners can stay focused on running their business.
Why are we doing this?
We're a team of developers and researchers who spent time building tools for AI reliability and testing.
But at some point we stepped back and asked ourselves what the future of work actually looks like. Our mentor and professor Ajay Agrawal called it "redesigning the factory floor", where the biggest gains from AI come from re-architecting entire workflows, not sprinkling it onto existing steps.
We decided to leave our desks and get onto the ground. We spoke with over 75 service businesses and found something striking: they're all losing revenue to voicemail every single day.
The math is brutal. Most callers who reach voicemail never call back. When each call represents hundreds or thousands in revenue, just a few missed calls per day turns into serious money lost every month.
These businesses have become unintentional call centers without any of the infrastructure real call centers have. And so we thought, “what could we do about this?”
Why now?
Voice AI recently crossed a threshold where it's reliably good enough for revenue-critical conversations. The difference between a system that works 85% of the time and one that works 98% of the time is everything when each call represents real revenue.
But when you look at the market, there's a gap nobody is filling.
Existing voice AI falls into two categories: self-serve tools that are too basic, or custom solutions built for enterprise. The self-serve options are point solutions where they handle a call, maybe take a message, hand it off to a human. While the enterprise options work, they're sales-led, expensive, and take months to implement.
Service businesses are stuck in the middle. They need reliability but can't afford or wait for enterprise solutions. They can't settle for basic tools that just push the work to someone else.
Nobody is building a system that owns the entire workflow end-to-end and works out of the box.
So that's what we're building.
Welcome to Sunday.
